Faculty & Staff
Canterbury teachers are an extraordinary group of individuals. Deeply committed to the values and mission of the School, they are the most influential figures in our students’ school lives.
At Canterbury, the relationship between teacher and student is the foundation of everything we do. It is a relationship built on trust and mutual respect, and it is a powerful force inspiring learning and personal growth. Such strong relationships are possible here because of our small size. When the average class size is just 12, each teacher can know every student and his or her individual strengths and needs. These relationships are also possible because of the teachers Canterbury attracts: nearly 60 percent of our faculty have 15 or more years of experience; more than 70 percent hold advanced degrees; all are dedicated mentors, deeply committed to the success of their students.
