A Merry Canterbury Christmas!

A Merry Canterbury Christmas!

Alumni, families, and friends shared the joy of the season at two festive Christmas parties in Boston and New York City.

First up was a spirited gathering at the Hampshire House on Beacon Street in Boston, where local graduates were joined by Regional Chapter Co-Presidents Emily Martino ’17 and Christian Procaccino ’13, various members of the Boston Chapter Leadership Team, and Canterbury Trustee Carol Lovell Carmody P ’18.

A great time was had by all, including Boston Chapter Leadership Team member Connor Collier ’14. “What a fantastic evening in the heart of Boston toasting the holidays, reminiscing with fellow alumni, and celebrating the past, present, and future of the Canterbury Saints,” he said.

A little over a week later, Saints alumni convened at The Harvard Club in Manhattan to celebrate “Christmas in the City” with their Canterbury family. Guests included Society of Alumni (SOA) President William “Macy” Steers, Jr. ’04, several members of the SOA Executive Committee, Regional Chapter President Elizabeth Dooley ’10, other local chapter leadership, and Trustees Mary Coleman Lynn ’90, P ’22, ’23, Holly Fedorcik P ’26, and Robert L. Williams ’90.

“The Canterbury Christmas party is always an amazing way to cap off the year,” said New York Chapter Leadership Team member Alec Woodworth ’11. “There are not many places where you can get people with a nearly 60-year age difference in a room together who have such strong connectivity. What is especially meaningful to me is to hear older alumni tell stories about having my grandfather (former faculty member John Martiska) as a teacher and the impact he had on their lives. The value of the Canterbury experience truly comes to life during the Christmas party.”

There’s nothing like spreading holiday cheer with your fellow Saints!
