The Class of ’75 Shines at Their Golden Reunion

The Class of ’75 Shines at Their Golden Reunion

Over the weekend, Canterbury was delighted to welcome the class of 1975 back to campus to celebrate its 50th reunion. While much has changed on the hilltop, the class’s friendships, fond memories, and school spirit remained as strong as ever.

The celebration kicked off on Friday, October 17, with a private dinner at Lucia Ristorante in downtown New Milford. The next day, alumni were off to a full day of reminiscing and learning about the myriad improvements that have happened at the School in the past five decades.

Following breakfast in the Steers Center, returning graduates enjoyed a tour of the campus and a chance to talk with students and Head of School Caroline Blatti. After lunch, alumni enjoyed various athletic contests across the School’s fields and courts. The class reconvened in the evening for cocktails and dinner in O’Connor House, the Head of School’s residence.

The weekend could perhaps best be summed up in an observation from Ted O’Connor ’75: “After more than 50 years, it’s amazing how Canterbury friendships never die!”

We hope the Class of 1975 will treasure the memories of this Reunion for years to come, and can’t wait to welcome them all back to the hilltop soon.
