Saints Bring Home Hardware, Cup at Awards Assembly

Saints Bring Home Hardware, Cup at Awards Assembly

Our standout Saints earned plenty of accolades at the Spring Athletic Awards Assembly this May, with one feat receiving the loudest applause—the Canterbury-FGS Cup coming back to the hilltop!

Standing before an enthusiastic audience in Maguire Auditorium, Interim Director of Athletics Padraic McCarthy ’94 revealed individual team awards and acknowledged Varsity Baseball for winning the WNEPBL Championship. In addition, Girls’ Varsity Squash unveiled its 2025 Class E Championship banner to be displayed in Pigott Arena. All-league recognition was announced later in the month.

Sixth Form student-athlete Connor Wohlfhart ’25 then presented the Cup to Dean of Students Pape Seye after announcing that the Saints regained the coveted trophy in convincing fashion, with 29 wins against just 13 losses and one tie against rival The Frederick Gunn School during the academic year.
