Spreading Christmas Spirit Through Song

The spirit of Christmas came alive in Maguire Auditorium during the Yuletide Rock Concert thanks to our talented student musicians.

The energy, skill, and dedication of our Saints were on full display as they led a fantastic evening of music and celebration. Performing holiday classics such as Winter Wonderland, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, All I Want for Christmas is You, and Jingle Bell Rock, our musicians and singers collaborated to create a memorable show for the enthusiastic audience.

For Sixth Form student Patrick Toon ’25, the concert was both bittersweet and joyful. “This is the last time I will be playing a Christmas concert here, but I am so grateful to have had this terrific opportunity,” he shared. “I have been blessed to work with such a great group of musicians. We were given one week after Thanksgiving break to prepare for this concert, and it takes a talented team to put together a full program in that time frame. I want to thank Mr. Overthrow and my fellow musicians for their hard work.”

Director of Music David Overthrow was likewise appreciative of his students’ efforts. “I continue to be amazed by their talent and determination. Watching their growth and devotion to performance has been incredibly inspiring,” Dave said. “Their work ethic and passion for the craft are contagious, and I am honored to be part of their journey.”
