Boys' Varsity Soccer
Competing in District 4 of the New England Preparatory Scholastic Athletic Conference (NEPSAC), the Boys’ Soccer program is built on a competitive culture grounded in a foundation of commitment and sportsmanship. The team competed in the New England Class B Tournament in 1993, 2015, and 2016. Canterbury School values the lessons learned in interscholastic athletics and strives to encourage students to push themselves both physically and mentally through competition.

Coaches
Head Coach Pape Seye
Pape Seye joined the Canterbury community in 2024 as Dean of Students and Head Coach of Boys’ Varsity Soccer. Prior to coming to the hilltop, he served as the Assistant Head of School at Darrow School. While a student at Taft School, Pape excelled in soccer, earning Western New England All-Star honors. He continued his soccer career at Cornell University, where he played all four years for the Division I Ivy League program and earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology. He also holds an MPA in International Economics and Development from Columbia University. Pape is an experienced soccer coach who has led several of his teams to championships.
