Girls' Varsity Soccer
Competing in District 4 of the New England Preparatory Scholastic Athletic Conference (NEPSAC), the Girls’ Soccer program is built on a competitive culture grounded in a foundation of commitment and sportsmanship. The team won the New England Small School championship in 1989, became Western New England Small Schools champions in 2002, was crowned New England Class C champions in 2019, and has participated in postseason play six times. Recent graduates have gone on to play at Bates College, Brown University, the Coast Guard Academy, Emmanuel College, Gettysburg College, University of Maine, Muhlenberg College, Yale University, and more.
Assistant Coach Seidu Shamsudeen ’18
As a Canterbury student, Seidu Shamsudeen excelled on the soccer field and in the classroom, earning All-American and All-state honors as well as taking on numerous leadership roles. Seidu then attended Villanova University, where he was a four-year member of the men's soccer team. He played a crucial role in Villanova’s first NCAA tournament win in program history in 2021. After graduating with a bachelor's in Political Science, Seidu earned an MPA in Organizational Management from the University of Delaware. He is currently Project Coordinator for Right to Dream.
