Girls' Varsity Soccer
Competing in District 4 of the New England Preparatory Scholastic Athletic Conference (NEPSAC), the Girls’ Soccer program is built on a competitive culture grounded in a foundation of commitment and sportsmanship. The team won the New England Small School championship in 1989, became Western New England Small Schools champions in 2002, was crowned New England Class C champions in 2019, and has participated in postseason play six times. Recent graduates have gone on to play at Bates College, Brown University, the Coast Guard Academy, Emmanuel College, Gettysburg College, University of Maine, Muhlenberg College, Yale University, and more.

Coaches
Head Coach Amy Franklin

Amy Franklin joined the Canterbury faculty in 2023 as an English Teacher. She holds a bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education from Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania, where she was captain of the Women's Soccer Team for three of her four seasons. While earning an associate degree in Science from Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey, Amy was Bergen's Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. She also served as a Volunteer Coach for the New Jersey Crush, an elite girls' soccer club based out of Morristown, New Jersey.
Assistant Coach Amie Phillips

Amie obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Mercy College and immediately began a career in math education. At The Harvey School, she served as Assistant Coach of the Girls’ Soccer team and Head Coach of Varsity Softball for 14 years, leading that team to seven championships. Amie comes to Canterbury from New Canaan Country School, where she coached the 7th through 9th grade softball and basketball teams, helping young players build their skills while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. She lives in Kent with her husband.
