Varsity Field Hockey

While earning her BA in history at St. Joseph’s College of Maine, Meghan Burke was a four-year member of the Field Hockey team, was on the Track & Field team for three years, and spent one year playing Women's Lacrosse. Most notably, she was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Field Hockey All-Tournament Team. Prior to joining Canterbury’s History Department in 2021, Meghan coached field hockey at Berwick Academy in Maine while serving a Teaching Residency there.

Maddie Lord joined the Canterbury community in 2018 as a member of the English Department and Varsity Field Hockey coach. Maddie competed on and was captain of the Varsity Field Hockey team at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. She was also a nationally ranked Spikeball champion in Canada. Prior to coming to the hilltop, Maddie was Head Coach of the Ridgefield High School field hockey program in Connecticut for two years. She is currently English Department Chair at Canterbury.
