Varsity Football

Canterbury Football competes in the Evergreen League, which consists of 16 teams from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and New York. The Saints play an eight-game schedule with the potential to qualify for a postseason New England Prep Bowl game. Canterbury played in bowl games from 2020–2023, and in 2023 defeated Worcester Academy 17-13 in the John Mackey Bowl. The teams develop by mastering the fundamentals of the game and paying attention to the smallest details. A key to success has been its physical style of play on both offense and defense.

In recent years Canterbury has had several players compete at top colleges and universities such as Dartmouth, Cornell, Holy Cross, Georgetown, Western Michigan, University of Albany, Trinity, Amherst, Colby, Stonehill, Sacred Heart, Youngstown State, University of Ottawa, Union, Hobart, St. Lawrence, Muhlenberg, Denison, and Fairleigh Dickenson.
