FROM HEAD OF SCHOOL RACHEL STONE

"One of the greatest satisfactions in leading Canterbury is witnessing the tremendous commitment, devotion, and vision that so many people share for this great School. They understand that we strive each day to fulfill both an educational and a moral mission. And they respond with determined planning, vigorous action, and inspiring philanthropy. It is impossible to put into words my excitement, optimism, and confidence for this next chapter of Canterbury's history."

TRANSFORM THE HILLTOP

Creating a cohesive and unified campus that supports our academic and co-curricular initiatives is the cornerstone for our ambitious fundraising campaign.

STEERS CENTER

This striking, new building seated at the heart of campus and set seamlessly into the hillside beside The Chapel of Our Lady will provide flexible, student-centered space for educational innovation and new technology. The purpose of the new building is to engage students in an environment that promotes enriched learning where student-driven programming is fostered and positive faculty and student relationships encouraged. The groundbreaking project is the result of an extensive community-wide study focused on the student experience at Canterbury.

CAMPUS SQUARE AND STREETSCAPE

Canterbury’s plans for a new Campus Square and Streetscape highlight one of the School’s greatest assets—the natural beauty of its campus—to create a more architecturally defined and cohesive sense of place. The enhanced intersection will strengthen the feel of home for both those visiting and living on the hilltop while providing essential pedestrian safety. The Campus Square and Streetscape will help to center the core of campus and inspire meaningful connections and collaborative learning through its functionality.

momentum builds

Within one year of announcing our reignited campaign —including its centerpiece of a new,
22,000-square-foot, student-centric building and campus square—
Mission and & Momentum has garnered the support and affirmation of
more than 4,200 donors, including those who have contributed $15.7 Million
specifically
for the $17 Million construction projects.

We are deeply grateful for the generosity of these donors—who hail from across all segments
of the extended Canterbury family—for it is their extraordinary energy, enthusiasm,
and support that fuels our momentum.
