Canterbury Appreciates Your Support!
Greetings from Canterbury,
I begin all conversations with a "thank you." It is important to understand that everything we accomplish—all dollars raised and achievements attained – are all due to the generous support of alumni, parents and friends of the school. We exist as a means to an end; we are here to garner the resources necessary to offer the opportunity of a world class education, one that propels our students into a world where they are productive, energized, well-adjusted and ready to work with and support the people and institutions in their lives. In the end, the greatest gift of all is the gift of education. At Canterbury it is also a values-based education. Thank you for helping to make this possible.
We are at a very exciting time in the history of Canterbury. We have a new Head of School, Rachel Stone. We just celebrated our Centennial and are also in a campaign, one in which we have raised $51 million towards our $75 million goal. The Canterbury Moment is focused on growing our financial resources, especially our endowment, which stands at $30 million. We are focused on a number of initiatives. At the top of the list is the creation of the Society of Alumni, led by an Executive Committee that is fully engaged in creating alumni programming and volunteer opportunities through the Canterbury Core.
It is with tremendous honor and pride that I serve Canterbury School and our community. I am deeply appreciative for all that you do for our great school. Thank you for your time, effort and financial support on behalf of Canterbury.
