AP Art Show Opens

Meredith Berry-Toon

An opening reception to mark the exhibition of work by AP Art students Quinn Greene '17, Lily Li '18, and Katie Wu '17 occurred on the evening of May 15 in Canterbury's Edward J. Duffy Family Gallery.

The pieces on display represent a year's exploration of a theme determined by each student early in the course.

Quinn Greene: "The central idea of my concentration focused on finding my own way to learn through art."

Lily Li: "I explored the relationship between the inner self and the outside world through conflict and resolution."

Katie Wu: "My concentration is all about discovering desserts in a bizarre world. It represents a journey I wish I could experience in real life."

The exhibition also included an outdoor display of chairs created by students in the sculpture class: Zakyi Mohammed '17, Aziz Alafaliq '18, AJ Lange '18, Joe Casabianca '18, Sharif Chowdhury '17, Aiden Yoo '17, and Jack Radcliffe '17.
