Recently, Canterbury students and faculty celebrated the School's annual international week. They participated in cultural activities that included international food tasting and watching student-produced "culture" videos at school meetings.
At lunch, the community sampled tasty Asian, eastern European, Italian, and Irish cuisine, according to EJ Soifersmith, assistant dean of students and coordinator of the School's long-held tradition. To serve as a reminder of our cultural diversity, flags representing the countries of all our students decorated the dining room.
To top off the week, international students shopped for and prepared food from their country to share with the community.
Canterbury's international students hail from Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, Ecuador, Ghana, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Thailand, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
With a nearly century-long commitment of bringing together students from all over the world, Canterbury School remains dedicated to welcoming international students to our campus as we learn from each other's cultures and traditions.
