Canterbury Celebrates Holiday Season

Meredith Berry-Toon

Students and faculty gathered in the School's chapel Thursday night, December 8, for Lessons and Carols, one of Canterbury's enduring holiday traditions. The all-school event was preceded by a delicious Christmas dinner.

The program included songs performed by Chorale and Schola Cantorum, an instrumental piece played on violin and cello, and a vocal solo by Sarah Armstrong, director of Chorale and Schola Cantorum, who was accompanied on oboe by her husband Dylan. Several students also performed solos. To conclude the event, the student groups joined forces with the Canterbury Community Choir (faculty and staff) to sing the Hallelujah Chorus.

Congratulations and thanks to everyone who contributed to this year's Lessons and Carols. The evening filled us all with the warm feelings of the holiday season.
