Canterbury will host Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday services for faculty, staff, students, and all local community members.
The Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper will be held in the Chapel at 7 p.m. on Holy Thursday. The service will include the washing of the feet. Good Friday Service of the Celebration of the Passion of the Lord will be held at 12 p.m. and will include the Adoration of the Holy Cross.
On Friday, the Canterbury community will embrace our value of Spirituality with quiet, technology-free hours for students of all faiths from 12-3 p.m. During this time, students will have the option to be reflective in the dorm or library or attend a series of activities— attend a trail walk in nearby Washington, CT, help stock the food bank at New Milford Social Services, participate in Stations of the Cross in the Chapel of Our Lady, or join the Ecumenical Prayer Walk along New Milford's Town Green.
Easter Sunday Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord will be at the normal 11:30 a.m. Sunday Mass time.
All Services will be celebrated by Rev. Mark Connell and Deacon Frank Bice. Student Sacristans include Sophia Poli '18, Patsy Buckley '18, Anna Oeser '18, Jessica Stolfi '18, Nick Pizzano '18, Gigi Schullery '18, Gabby Vitelli '18, Nelle Carmody '18, Bobby Berry '18, and Clara Tomann '18.
