Lorelai Lee Swanek '21 to perform at Carnegie Hall

Lorelai Lee Swanek '18 won the Select Student Competition, sponsored by the New Haven chapter of the Connecticut State Music Teachers' Association, for her piano performance this past weekend. The competition was open for honors-level pianists in the greater New Haven area.

A talented pianist, Lorelai spends her afternoon activity time at piano practice, developing her talent as a musician. She is also enrolled in Orchestra/Classical Chamber with Mr. Taghavi where she has performed alongside her Canterbury peers at the season concerts.

Additionally, Lorelai has been selected as the third place winner of the International American Protege Piano and Strings Competition. Given her placement, she will perform at the winner's concert at Carnegie Hall on June 23, 2018. It will be her fourth time performing at the acclaimed concert hall since her debut at age nine.
