New Faculty Welcomed for 2018-19 School Year

Canterbury welcomed ten new faculty for the upcoming school year. Spanning several different academic and administrative departments, most new faculty member will live and work on campus while either coaching or serving one of our after school programs.

Matthew Biggart joins the History Department following seven years at Avon Old Farms School, CT.

Nick Ellis will be teaching theology and serving as the assistant coach of Boys' Varsity Hockey after playing for the NHL on the Edmonton Oilers.

Robin Frome will serve as the Director of Technical Theatre while continuing his work as the President and Artistic Director of the Sherman Playhouse.

Chas Hollinger brings two years of experience at The Ross School, NY to our Fine Arts Department as the new Intro to Visual Art, Painting, and Ceramics instructor.

Molly O'Sullivan joins our Admission Office following two years at The Hun School, NJ.

Cam Roffe '12 will be teaching Algebra II in our Mathematics Department and uniquely is the only third generation faculty member to ever work at Canterbury.

Julia Clarke and Madelaine Lord will teach in our English Department and serve as advisor to the yearbook (The Cantuarian) and head coach of Varsity Field Hockey, respectively. Julia received her PhD at Stony Brook University, NY and Maddie was a member of the D1 field hockey team at her undergraduate school, McGill University, Canada.

Sally Ruderman and Bryce Wallis join our Science Department, both teaching all levels of Chemistry including the AP course as well as AP Biology. Additionally, Sally will serve as head coach of our rowing program.
