On Saturday, October 6, Canterbury students piled into Pigott Arena to support the Girls' Varsity Volleyball team against Hopkins School, CT for the 9th Annual Pink Out Night, an event hosted to raise money and awareness surrounding breast cancer research.

The home team was entirely decked out in pink gear, the reflection of which beamed across the Arena in the crowd of cheering student fans. By the end of the evening, through the bake sale and entrance donations, the team had raised over $1,400 to be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The team was led by captains Coco Booth '19 and Gianna Terracino '19 and Coco Booth '19 received the MVP of the game. "This was one of the best student crowds that we have had at our Pink Out in the 13 years that I have been coaching," head coach EJ Soifersmith noted upon the conclusion of the game. "The energy and the enthusiasm that the student fans brought elevated the level of playing by our team and helped us have one of the best sets in Canterbury's volleyball history."

The proceeds from the game and bake sale have been donated in support of Breast Cancer Research to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
