Travel Opportunities

This 10-day service trip to Lourdes, France invites you to work alongside volunteers from Italy, France, Spain, England, and Ireland to help the malades who travel to Lourdes to bathe in its healing waters. This service opportunity is offered to Canterbury students of all grades, even recently graduated Saints.

Since 1994, the trip has been run by Our Lady’s Pilgrimage (OLP), a non-profit organization led by Trustee Emerita Hope Carter P ’86, ’87, ’88, ’91, ’95, GP ’09, ’10, ’14. 

Open to current, incoming, and aspiring field hockey players, this unforgettable international field hockey experience is planned with Canterbury students in mind. Through guided tours, meaningful service activities, exhibition games, and time to explore, you will enjoy the perfect balance of athletics, culture, and adventure, all creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

On this immersive trip to France, you will spend a week living with a host family in a French province. Families are chosen to match you with a student approximately your age who shares some of your interests. After a week of participating in their daily life (and improving your language skills), it's adieu to the countryside and off to Paris with your fellow Saints. There, you will visit the museums, neighborhoods, restaurants, and landmarks of the City of Lights.

Step into the heart of the ancient world on a journey through Italy and Greece!

Explore Rome’s iconic landmarks, from the Colosseum and Roman Forum to the awe-inspiring treasures of Vatican City, before visiting Pompeii. In Greece, you will walk the sacred grounds of Delphi and stand atop the Acropolis in Athens, home to the legendary Parthenon. This trip offers a truly immersive opportunity to understand the art, cultures, and civilizations that continue to shape our world today.

Organized by the World Language Department, this trip offers you the opportunity to stay in the heart of one of southern Spain's most beautiful cities. In addition to immersive language classes, you also have the opportunity to travel to nearby cities of Cadíz, Granada, and Córdoba.

Enjoy hands-on science and service projects, hiking, intertidal exploration, and more on this week-long summer trip to the Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island in Maine. Preference is given to rising Fifth and Sixth form students who are new to the trip.
